Description
The harvest moon aids Farmer Martin as he cuts his fields. The Martin Farm is just down the lane from my parents home, from where I did this little study. The farmer can be seen on the tractor in this time exposure, taken just after dusk at about 8:00PM EDT.
The Harvest moon is the full moon closest to autumnal equinox. It has been so named since it rises near sunset and sets early in the morning just around sunrise, thus giving farmers of days gone past extra light that they could see their harvest activities.
